Abstract

Corn is a C4 plant that can adapt well even though there are growth and production limiting factors. Another advantage of corn grown using a hydroponic system is that corn seeds have a fast growth time so they can be produced in a short time. This is the background for conducting research on the effect of substitution of cow urine using rice washing water as a watering medium and organic fertilizer on corn fodder productivity. The purpose of this study was to determine the productivity of corn fodder which gets nutrients from a combination of cow urine and rice washing water in hydroponic growing media so that it can be used as feed for livestock. This research is expected to provide information about corn Fodder hydroponic growing media technology. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the substitution of rice washing water with cow urine liquid organic fertilizer can increase the production of corn fodder. The best results were obtained in the P5 treatment, namely 100% substitution of rice washing water
