Abstract

The government's efforts to enhance economic growth and public service quality as a solution to poverty emphasize income and quality of life improvement. However, this approach needs to consider local dynamics and regional economic structures. Accurate data on poverty are crucial for designing effective policies to enhance community welfare in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). This research examines factors influencing poverty levels in NTT, particularly the impacts of economic development, unemployment, and regional minimum wages. Analysis using EViews 10 software shows that economic growth and unemployment significantly affect poverty, whereas regional minimum wages do not. This study provides insights for economic development and poverty alleviation policies, emphasizing the importance of targeted interventions to enhance community welfare in NTT, given the complexity of poverty issues requiring holistic and diverse approaches to mitigation efforts.
