Abstract

The research is based on the results of observations of the behavior of high school students, Wamena, who easily imitate what they see from; including religious teachers. Many students do things that are inappropriate for children their age. Researchers suspect that student behavior is related to a less serious attitude when participating in learning. Research was conducted to prove the truth of the hypothesis, it is suspected that there is an influence of teaching Christian religious education based on Titus 2:6-8 and the spirituality of Christian religious teachers on the growth of Christian character of students at SMAN I Wamena. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive analysis approach. The sample in this study amounted to 64 respondents with a sampling technique based on Simple Random Sampling. The research results show that the influence of religious education teaching based on Titus 2:6-8 on the growth of students' Christian character is o.792 or 79.2%, which shows an influence in the high category. The influence of Christian religious teacher spirituality based on Titus 2:6-8 on the growth of students' Christian character at Wamena 1 State High School is 0.975 or 97.5% which is included in the high category. Then, the influence of teaching Christian religious education and the spirituality of Christian religious teachers based on Titus 2:6-8 on the growth of students' Christian character at SMA Negeri 1 Wamena is 0.941 or 94.1% which is included in the high category.
