Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of motivation and work discipline on employee performance at the Karo District Social Service. The research was conducted at the Karo District Social Service which is located on Jl. Jamin Ginting No. 70 Ketaren, Kabanjahe, Karo Regency, North Sumatra 22152. The research period starts from June until the completion of the research. The number of samples in the study was 25 respondents. The variables used in this study are independent variables and dependent variables. In this study, the independent variables are motivation (X1) and work discipline (X2). The dependent variable is employee performance. Data analysis using multiple regression analysis. The results show that motivation has a positive and significant and elastic effect on employee performance. Work discipline has a positive and significant and elastic effect on employees. Motivation and work discipline simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the performance of Karo District Social Service employees.
