Abstract

Employee performance improvement is needed in achieving a company goal. individual characteristics and job characteristics that affect employee performance. Therefore, this study aims to determine, analyze, and prove the effect of individual characteristics and characteristics on the performance of employees of the Urea-1 Fertilizer Packaging Section (PPU-1) at PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang either simultaneously or partially. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research method, with a sample of 50 respondents using a sampling technique, namely the saturated sampling technique (census). The variables in this study consisted of independent variables, namely individual characteristics (X1) and job characteristics (X2) and the variable, namely employee performance (Y). The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis method with hypothesis testing using f-test and t-test. The results of the study on 50 respondents showed that the individual characteristics variable (X1) and job characteristics (X2) simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on employee performance (Y). This can be seen from the value of Fcount (82.015) > Ftable (3.19), with a significance level of 0.000 ttable (2.011) with a significance level of 0.029 ttable (2.011) with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05.
