Abstract

This research is related to the level of parental education which discusses the problem of lack of motivation, attention and parenting style of parents to students so that it affects learning achievement obtained in the school environment. The purpose of this study is to analyze and measure how much influence / relationship between the level of education of parents and the learning achievement of students in school. As well as analyzing strategies that parents must use to increase the enthusiasm for learning of students in order to get high learning achievement. Themethod used is descriptive correlational analysis through a quantitative approach using questionnaire instruments distributed to predetermined samples. This study shows that there is an influence on the table of "r" product moment values, it can be known df of 39, obtained "r" product moment at a significant level of 5% = 0.316 and a significant level of 1% = 0.408. Comparing the known magnitudes of "r o" and "r t", the ro obtained by the researchers was 0.269 while rt was 0.316 and 0.408, respectively. Given this, ro rt should be 5% or 1%. Therefore, the null hypothesis stating that there is a low influence of 26.9% (low) between parents' education level and student achievement, is accepted or approved while the alternative hypothesis is rejected.
