Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan, reward dan punishment terhadap disiplin, serta untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan, reward dan punishment terhadap motivasi pada Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri Kampus Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan peneltian kuantitatif dengan mengambil sampel peserta didik yang berjumlah 154 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner, dan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan, reward dan punishment berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap disiplin, pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan, reward dan punishment berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi. Pada uji mediasi bahwa motivasi dapat memediasi pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan, reward dan punishment terhadap disiplin. besarnya pengaruh bersama Gaya Kepemimpinan (X1), Reward (X2), dan Punishment (X3) terhadap Motivasi (Z) sebesar 0,672 atau 67,2% (pengaruh tinggi). Kedua besarnya pengaruh bersama Gaya Kepemimpinan (X1), Reward (X2), Punishment (X3) dan Motivasi (Z) terhadap Disiplin (Y) sebesar 0,749 atau 74,9% (pengaruh tinggi). Artinya sebesar 25,1 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor yang lain. The purpose of this study was to analyze and determine the effect of leadership style, reward and punishment on discipline, as well as to analyze and determine the effect of leadership style, reward and punishment on motivation at the Domestic Government Institute of South Sulawesi. This research is a quantitative research by taking a sample of 154 students. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire, and the data analysis technique uses Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The research results show that the influence of leadership style, reward and punishment has a positive and significant effect on discipline, the influence of leadership style, reward and punishment has a positive and significant effect on motivation. In the mediation test, motivation can mediate the influence of leadership style, reward and punishment on discipline. The magnitude of the joint influence of Leadership Style (X1), Reward (X2), and Punishment (X3) on Motivation (Z) is 0.672 or 67.2% (high influence). Second, the joint influence of Leadership Style (X1), Reward (X2), Punishment (X3) and Motivation (Z) on Discipline (Y) is 0.749 or 74.9% (high influence). This means that 25.1% is influenced by other factors.
