Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh foot self-care terhadap Neuropati perifer pada pasien DM tipe 2 dengan pendekatan teori keperawatan Orem. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif analitik, desain penelitian yang digunakan quasi ekperiment pre dan post without control dengan memberikan pretest intervensi atau perlakukan dan memberikan posttest setelah diberikan intervensi, sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu berjumlah 30 responden dengan hasil p. value 0,036, maka disimpulkan ada pengaruh foot self-care terhadap neuropati perifer pada pasien DM Tipe 2 dengan pendekatan teori keperawatan orem, Intervensi foot self-care untuk menangani pasien DM dengan neuropati memerlukan kesadaran diri dan keyakinan dalam melakukan perawatan hingga tindakan yang dilakukan secara niat yang kuat dan kemandirian maka akan lebih baik, intervensi ini akan lebih bermakna jika dilakukan secara mandiri tanpa selalu dilakukan pendampingan oleh tenaga kesehatan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan informasi terkait foot self-care terhadap pasien diabetes melitus.This study aims to determine the effect of foot self-care on peripheral neuropathy in type 2 DM patients using Orem's nursing theory approach. This type of research is quantitative analytic, the research design used is quasi-experimental pre- and post-without control by giving pre-test intervention or treatment and giving post-test after being given intervention, the sample used in this study is 30 respondents, p. value 0.036. So, it can be concluded that there is an effect of foot self-care on peripheral neuropathy in Type 2 DM patients with the Orem nursing theory approach. Foot self-care interventions to treat DM patients with neuropathy require self-awareness and confidence in carrying out care so that actions are carried out with good intentions and independence. then it will be better, this intervention will be better if done independently without always being accompanied by health workers. The results of this study can provide information regarding foot self-care for diabetes mellitus patients.
