Abstract

The public must be educated from an early age about drugs so that they do not make mistakes in using these drugs. One of the programs launched by the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI) on how to obtain, use, store and dispose of medicines is DAGUSIBU education. This education is intended for all levels of society. The aim of this education is to provide education and understanding to high school students about DAGUSIBU and to see the influence of education on the level of knowledge of high school students. This educational activity began with a pretest to measure high school students' understanding of DAGUSIBU, after which education was carried out using lecture and question and answer methods. At the end of the education, high school students were given a posttest to measure high school students' understanding of DAGUSIBU after being given the education. To see the level of knowledge of high school students, we use the one group pretest-posttest design type of education. The number of educational participants was 173 students. The average level of knowledge of high school students before being given education was 49.93% (Poor) and the average level of knowledge of high school students after education was 72% (Enough). Based on these results, it appears that there is a significant change in knowledge between before and after education.
