Abstract

This research aims to improve the ability to count multiplication in grade 2 UPT SD Negeri 87 Gresik. The subjects of this research was the grade 2 students of UPT SD Negeri 87 Gresik totaling 42 students. This research is a classroom action research. classroom action research was carried out in 2 cycles which had 4 stages, namely Planning, Acting, Observing and Reflecting. Data collection techniques used are 1. observation, 2. Interviews, 3. Tests and 4. Documentation. After conducting this research it can be seen that there is an increase in student learning outcomes of ±32 students, there is a lot of learning progress from cycle 1 to cycle 2 bot in terms of multiplication counting skills and student learning activity, starting from the pre-cycle to cycle 2 there were many changes, from completeness which is only 38% to 76%. With this it can be concluded that the application of the jaritmatika method can improve the ability to count multiplicaton in grade 2 elementary school students.
