Abstract

The irrigation equipment used is drip emitter irrigation as well as a vertigation tool. The aim of this research is to test the performance of fertilizing rope emitter drip irrigation by fertilizing Urea, ZA and KCl at several doses through irrigation / water irrigation (fertigation) with a 4-day irrigation water supply interval for watermelon plants, measuring the efficiency of nutrient uptake N, P, and K by fertilizing through irrigation / irrigation water (fertigation) and spreading fertilization methods, and determining the dosage of fertilizing Urea, ZA, and KCl of watermelon plants through economical irrigation (fertigation) by obtaining optimal quantity and quality of crop yields. The treatments in the study were DPAS (Fertilization Dosage Recommended Spread), DPAF (Fertilization Dosage Recommended Fertigation) DPAF80 (80% Fertilization Dosage Recommended Fertigation) and DPA0 (without fertilization as a control). Each treatment was repeated 3 times. Data analysis was carried out with variance at the 5% level and then followed by the LSD test at the 5% level. The number of plants harvested for data analysis was 10% of the population of each experimental unit randomly selected. The results showed that the rope emitter drip irrigation device could be used as a fertilizing tool through irrigation water on watermelon plants. Production of watermelon plants by fertigation at recommended dosages of 100% was not significantly different from fertigation at recommended dosages of 80%, but significantly different and higher compared to fertilizing the spread dosage recommended dosage. Fertilizing doses recommended 80% fertigation method with rope emitter drip irrigation can be used on watermelon plants without a significant decrease in production. The efficiency of nutrient uptake of N, P, and K in the way of fertigation using rope emitter drip irrigation is higher than the spread fertilization method.
