Abstract
Abstract— Today's increase in global warming influences the activities of living things in the world. The imbalance of the concentration of greenhouse gas emissions is the cause of extreme weather such as floods and droughts and extreme weather. One of the efforts that need to be done is reforestation activities, one of the alternatives is planting activities in community forest areas. The objective of the study was to calculate the biomass, carbon content and ability of community forests to absorb carbon dioxide in the village of Sumbersawit which is included in the Lawu Manunggal Forest Management Unit in Magetan Regency. The method used is an inventory of community forest stands with a sampling intensity of 10%, the amount of biomass carried out by cutting on the types of stands, on various types of plant organs, calculation of carbon content carried out by Walkley and Black methods. , 66 Ha is for Sengon (M3 / Ha) 32,154, Mahoni, 112,878, mindi 21,272 and Teak 24,544 or a total of 191,279 m3 / ha. Biomass potential is 179,434 tons / ha or a total of 77,034,408 tons. The average carbon content is 88,227 tons C / ha or the total available is 37,746,860 tons of carbon. The ability of absorption of carbon dioxide (CO2) of community forests is 323,795 Tons of CO2 / Ha, with the area of management of community forests able to absorb CO2 content of 138,530,989 tons C02. Keywords— : Standing Stock; Biomass; Carbon dioxide.
