Abstract

Abstract: Metro City has business units more than 99% in the small and medium micro business sector, BPS 2016 data, including types of freshwater fish production. Metro City produces pond water fish production of 2,122.01 tons per year, in two sub-districts namely North Metro and Central Metro. This community service aims to explore information about strengthening the community in the knowledge and skills sector to farm carp through feed making and farming. This service used the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method, by using this method can develop the community of carp farmers, economically independent become a prosperous life. The stages of research are carried out through several steps: Firstly, the data is collected through Focus Group Discussion. Secondly, understanding the farming and alternative feeds making through trainings. Thirdy, strengthening capacity by carrying out post-harvest management of carp. And the fourth, forming the pockets of carp farming community to facilitate the information of results of assistance easily. From the results of assistance, the conclusions area: 1). Strengthen knowledge together by using the assisted process, 2). Strengthen the skills of alternative feeds making in the carp farming community, 3). Formed the pockets of carp farming community, from the those things that produce the economic prosperity of the community through the management and farming the carp.
