Abstract
Education is a very important thing in a person's life, both in the family, society and nation. Learning is a process that is carried out by each individual or group to change attitudes from not knowing to knowing throughout his life. According to Tutik Rachmawati, et al (2015) Learning is a process of interaction of students with educators and learning resources in a learning environment. Learning is assistance provided by educators so that the process of acquiring knowledge and knowledge, mastering skills and character, and forming attitudes and beliefs can occur in students. The problem in this research is "Empowerment of the Google Classroom Application as a Learning Media During the Covid-19 Pandemic Period X SMK Muhammadiyah 8 Pakis for the 2020/2021 Academic Year?". This research method is descriptive qualitative research that involves interview and documentation techniques in data collection. It can be seen that the implementation of learning by using Google Classroom has been going well, in accordance with the online Learning Implementation Plan (RPP). The inhibiting factor for the implementation of online learning is by empowering the use of the Google Classroom application, the internet network of students, which is partly slow and the background of students, so there is material that they do not understand. The supporting factors for empowering the use of the Google Classroom application properly are the existence of adequate internet access, the ability of teachers to operate the Google Classroom application and the average student also has Android. Suggestions from researchers: Schools should support and facilitate learning activities during the Covid-19 Pandemic by using the Google Classroom application so that learning activities can run well and the objectives of learning can be achieved as expected.
