Kata kunci: alam, pastoral, apokaliptik AbstrakThis research discusses the meaning of nature in Korrie Layun Rampan’s short stories "Danau Beluq", "Sungai Melengen", "Batun Kokoq", "Dilang Puti", "Ngerangkau", and "Wengkay". This study analyzes short stories through pastoral and apocalyptic narratives using the theory of literary ecocriticism. The study uncovered that nostalgic elements that portray ideal natural conditions, such as forests and rivers, in the past are used to represent pastoral narratives through the development of acardia. Nostalgic elements were also displayed through the story of the origin of a lake. The local population's livelihoods, namely farming, cultivating, and fishing, were used to build a bucolic acardia. The apocalyptic narrative was shown through characters with natural visions trying to stop the capitalists. The analysis also found that outside forces that entered the neighborhood contributed to natural harm. Korrie Layun Rampan's short stories criticized nature, which was once perfect but was later harmed by outside forces. Keywords: nature, pastoral, apocalyptic
