Abstract

Abstract The most common cause of spontaneous non traumatic pelvicalyceal system rupture is distal obstruction by a ureteric calculus and should be included in the differential diagnosis of patients with acute flank pain and perinephric fluid on ultrasound and Contrast enhanced CT scan with delayed images should be done to confirm the diagnosis. We present a case of spontaneous non traumatic pelvicalyceal system rupture due to a tiny ureteric calculus managed with primary ureteroscopic lithotripsy.
