Abstract

This year marks the 35th anniversary of <italic xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">IEEE Power Electronics Society</i> (PELS) and PELS Day was celebrated on 20 June with much enthusiasm across the world. PELS chapters and student branch chapters and other groups worldwide organized events, lectures, workshops, industry visits, and social events to commemorate the occasion. In addition, on 26 July, PELS executives organized a virtual closing ceremony hosted by Young Professional (YP) Committee Member Dr. Joseph Kozak, a senior electrical engineer at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Laurel, MD, USA.
