Abstract
On 18 June 2022, the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) China Membership Committee hosted its first event since its establishment in May 2022 ( <xref ref-type="fig" rid="fig1" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">Figure 1</xref> ). The virtual event celebrated PELS Day and was made up of four parts: academic lectures, career development reports, industry presentations, and a Student Branch Chapter (SBC) founding ceremony.
