Abstract
<fig orientation="portrait" position="float" xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"> <graphic orientation="portrait" position="float" xlink:href="chang-3193859.tif"/> </fig> The IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) celebrates the 35th anniversary in 2022 for its establishment as a full IEEE society by the visionary pioneers of the power electronics community. Many PELS Chapters and Student Branch Chapters around the world have organized virtual or in-person events to celebrate the PELS Day throughout June this year. You may have seen the fascinating photos of these events posted on our PELS website. Now our society has become the eighth largest society within IEEE, and is continuing its steady growth in membership throughout the world, including higher quality in publications, more agility in technical programs, and excellence in conferences and expositions. In addition, PELS is expanding initiatives to fully serve its members.
