Abstract
The escalation of discipline issues and violence in our schools is staggering. Programs in peer mediation and conflict resolution seek to give students of today, and the adults of tomorrow, skills in alternative dispute resolution methods. The Peer Mediation: Conflict Resolution in Schools program is reviewed in light of other nationally published programs, the authors' experience in peer mediation, and use of the materials with a middle school population.
