Abstract
The article deals with the problem of the well-known world level thinker Vasyl Sukhomlynskyi’s spiritual values priority. The author analyzes the teacher’s position regarding the triad: Family – Love – Motherland. She considers the role of family relationships from Vasyl Sukhomlynskyi’s point of view, and argues that it is the family – the foundation in the formation of a growing personality. Much attention is paid to the axiological approach, through which the importance of Vasyl Sukhomlynskyi's work in the conditions of the formation of the European consciousness is better understood. It is emphasized that Sukhomlynskyi’s works have not lost their relevance, because of the dominant values that are eternal and should be brought up in children and adolescents. The author emphasizes that the core of the humanistic system of Vasyl Sukhomlynskyi was a genuine interest in the personality of the child, a synergistic character of the influence on each student. The article proves that the humanist educator has defined a hierarchy of pedagogical values for himself, which is dominated by a triad: Family – Love – Motherland. Based on Sukhomlynskyi’s pedagogical and philosophical views, the author concludes that people are, first and foremost, children. When national dies in children, the death of a nation is inevitable.Among the research methods the most acceptable is comparative, since it helped to analyzing the views and thoughts of the teacher in the context of modernity. The purpose of the article is to evaluate the axiological priorities of modern youth and the desire to prove that the pedagogical values of Vasyl Sukhomlynskyi did not cross time.
