Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the influence of pedagogical skill, professional competence and work motivation on teachers’ performance. This research employed a survey method where the data were generated from a questionnaire and observation. The data were further analyzed by using descriptive and inferential analysis with path analysis approach. As many as 62 natural science teachers based in all public junior high schools Bone Bolango were the research population; 57 among them were selected as the sample. The result reveals that teachers’ performance is significantly influenced by pedagogical skills, professional competence, and work motivation. In addition, the teacher’s motivation is determined by pedagogical skills and professional competence. The variable of pedagogical skill also contributes to the professional competence. On the other hand, some variables, such as pedagogical competence and professional competence (through the variable of work motivation) indirectly affect each other. Article visualizations:
