Abstract

The unsatisfactory state of health of modern school pupils raises the need to search for new approaches to attracting senior school pupils with deviations in the state of health of a permanent or temporary nature who belong to the special medical groups, to active physical exercises. This is the urgency of the problem, which is solved in the article. The purpose of the article is to confirm the effectiveness of health aquaaerobics as a means of physical rehabilitation and correction of the physical state of senior school girls who belong to the special medical groups, and also to confirm the pedagogical expediency of using this means in the physical education of girls. During the research methods of psychological analysis, physical fitness testing (6 tests), pedagogical experiment, medical and pedagogical control, methods of mathematical statistics were used. In the course of the study, the author found that the morbidity structure of school pupils is more often associated with diseases of the musculoskeletal system, respiratory tract, cardiovascular pathologies, gastrointestinal and other diseases. Physical training of these school pupils are held under specially designed programs, but under normal school conditions. A good means of healing such school pupils is aquaaerobics, which uses the unique properties of water. Changes in water level, amplitude differentiation, coordination complexity of movements, certain pace and rhythm of music, clarity of movements, diversity of dance-gymnastic combinations provide for the rehabilitation and health benefits of aquaaerobics on the human body. The author conducted a pedagogical experiment, during which the senior school girls were actively engaged in aquaaerobics. The main part was dominated by general development and special exercises aimed at raising the level of general physical development of the girls, exercises for training the cardiovascular and respiratory systems – active motions for the development of various muscle groups, exercises for the development of muscles of the trunk; the number of repetitions varied depending on the level of physical fitness of the girls. The author was convinced that the program of lessons should be compiled and adjusted in accordance with specific pathologies. This led to the use of an individual approach during training. The results of the experiment confirmed that the means of health aquaaerobics are effective in correcting the physical condition and increasing the level of physical fitness of senior school girls who belong to the special medical groups.
