Abstract

The article deals with the issue of the development of qualities that have a positive effect on the formation of youths’ healthy lifestyles who study in institutions of general secondary and higher education.
 The analysis of scientific publications on this problem is presented, and the interpretation of the definitions of a «healthy lifestyle» is specified. It is determined that a healthy lifestyle is a lifestyle based on the principles of morality, reasonable using one’s life potential, as well as practical actions aimed at preventing diseases, strengthening all body systems, and improving general well-being.
 According to the analysis of scientific works, the pedagogical conditions for the formation of pupils and students’ healthy lifestyles are identified.
 The author offers recommendations for the formation of healthy lifestyle skills, which can be developed by following the pedagogical conditions.
