Abstract

The work of the Jesuits in the indoctrination of Moriscos was really important in the Early Modern period. Ignatius of Loyola and Francis of Borgia, as Generals of the order, created a great plan to convert them trough education. The aim of this paper is to analyse the role of the Spanish Jesuits Schools studying the Gandia case. Another important aspect will be the study of the main strategies developed in the evangelization of the population, remarking the use of art in this purpose.
