Abstract

The article examines the dynamics of the physical condition of first-year students in the middle of the educational process. This is a necessary condition for assessing the physical fitness of students and the effectiveness of further improvement of training classes, new programs, recovery measures, etc. In this regard, as part of our survey, an analysis of indicators reflecting the level of physical fitness, physical capacity, functional state of the circulatory and external breathing systems, and physical health of students enrolled in the 1st year was conducted. It was possible to establish that in the middle of the experiment, the students did not observe significantchan gesin almost all indicators of their physical fitness, in particular, strength, speed – strengt habilities, the level of dexterity development, general endurance, as well as the level of physical performance. The generall evel of their physical fitness, ob tained on the basis of the values, was processed using the computer program "OBERIG" and was considered as below average and did not differ significantly from the values registered at the beginning of the study. The ob tained data indicat einsufficient effectiveness of the study program for first – year students. In general, the results of our examination showed that the students, in the middle of the academic year, had indicators below the averag elevel of physical capacity, physical and functional preparedness, as well as the generall evel of physical health.
