Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of the relationship between personality traits and the type of predisposition to the manifestation of victim behavior in adolescents from unfavorable families who live in the specialized institutions of Armenia. During the research we have studied adolescents from unfavorable families (girls, boys) aged 15 to 17 (total number of respondents - 100 people). The purpose of this study is to identify the individual psychological characteristics of adolescents that affect the formation of a tendency to manifest a particular type of victim behavior. The analysis of the obtained empirical data revealed that among adolescents from disadvantaged families a tendency towards self-injurious and self-destructive victim behavior dominates and they are more characterized by realized victimization. And it is the knowledge of these prerequisites which will make it possible to develop the most effective preventive program, that will be aimed at reducing the level of victimization among representatives of vulnerable groups of the population, namely, adolescents from unfavorable families, living in specialized institutions.
