Abstract

The purpose of the study is to assess the features of onychomycosis of the feet of railway transport workers suffering from psoriasis. Materials and methods. During the clinical study, a professional anamnesis vitae and morbi was collected and analyzed. For the most objective assessment of onychomycosis, KIOTOS was calculated. A total of 100 patients with psoriasis were examined. The main group consisted of 47 railway transport workers whose work is associated with the impact of harmful production factors. The control group consisted of 53 patients with psoriasis. The results of the study. Nail plates were morfed in 68.1% in the main group and in 28.3% in the control group. Nail mycosis associated with psoriatic onychopathy was diagnosed in 78.7% of patients in group I and 11.3% in group II. Onychomycosis of the feet of railway transport workers develops 2.7 times earlier, their KYOTOS is 5.5 times higher, and the progrediency of the course is 4.8 times higher than in patients who do not come into contact with occupational hazards. Conclusions. The early onset, more severe clinical manifestations and the course of onychomycosis of the feet of railway transport workers suffering from psoriasis are due to prolonged exposure to harmful production factors.
