Abstract

Abstract Treatments were applied to 15-year-old trees with a handgun operated at 400 psi pressure. Treatments were replicated 5 times as single tree plots in a complete randomized block design. Treatments were applied on April 17 (pink bud). May 2 (petal fall), May 22, June 6, and June 26, except Larvin 500 which was not available for application on April 17 and May 2, and Systox which was replaced by Imidan 50WP on June 26. On each tree 4 branches were marked for sampling. Aphid populations were expressed as the average number of colonies per 4 branches. Shoots infested by oriental fruit moth larvae were counted on the same 4 branches of each tree. For determinations of fruit damage, 50 peaches were examined on each tree.
