Abstract

Although gonorrhea is the second most common sexually transmitted bacterial infection worldwide, limited qualitative evidence is available on its humanistic burden. This study aimed to characterize the symptom experience and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of patients with gonorrhea in the United States and map elicited concepts to commonly used patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) to determine whether they could adequately capture disease burden associated with gonorrhea.
