Abstract
Tradução de "Público e Popularidade III" de Richard Wagner. Como resposta à publicação de Humano Demasiado Humano I (1878) de Friedrich Nietzsche, no qual o autor publicamente rompe com a filosofia de Schopenhauer, Richard Wagner escreve em Agosto de 1878 na revista Bayreuther Blätter, da qual ele próprio era colaborador, a terceira parte de Publikum und Popularität (Público e Popularidade), onde tece severas críticas a Nietzsche, sem citá-lo diretamente. Embora já há algum tempo a relação de Nietzsche e Wagner não era mais a mesma dos tempos de Tribschen, a publicação de Humano e esta resposta de Wagner marca definitivamente o rompimento entre eles.
