Abstract

Conditions have been chosen for obtaining high molecular weight 1,2 polybutadiene under the influence of a catalytic system based on an organosodium compound plus lithium alcoholate. The polymerization patterns of butadiene and the molecular parameters of the polymer have been studied. The presence of chain limitation reactions during polymerization has been established. An assumption is made on the complex nature of the active centres.
