Abstract
Based on pattern synthesis of multi-input multi-output (MIMO) radar, differential particle swarm optimization (DPSO), which introduced crossover and mutation scheme to PSO, was proposed. Owing to the adjusting function of the two schemes, the new algorithm can keep diversity of the population and avoid premature of basic PSO. By random search and optimization of side lobe level and the NULL depth, the best arrangement and amplitude of arrays was reached. The simulation results show that the algorithm has faster convergence and more reliable robustness.
