Abstract

Intuitively, patients with larger ventral hernias and loss of abdominal domain are likely to have decreased preoperative abdominal wall function and QOL, but little is known on postoperative outcomes in this population. We defined a new set of ventral hernias as massive and hypothesized that they would have worse patient outcomes and QOL after repair.
