Abstract
A 27-year-old man presented to the emergency department with a “peeling” rash on the plantar surfaces of his feet for 2 weeks. His rash initially presented around his lower-extremity skin grafts, progressing diffusely. His examination was notable for plantar desquamation; violaceous papulopustular lesions present on the submandibular, upper portion of the thighs, and testicular regions; discrete palmar papules; axillary lymphadenopathy; and patchy alopecia (Figures 1, 2, and 3). Laboratory findings demonstrated an elevated C-reactive protein level of 56.49 mg/L and an erythrocyte sedimentation rate of 102 mm/hr.
