Abstract

ABSTRACTBringing library and information science (LIS) research into practice often means identifying ways for our work to effect positive change within information institutions. Such change is more likely if it is well‐grounded in understanding of how practitioners engage with research, and how research influences change within institutions. This panel addresses these issues through the diverse perspectives of its international panelists, who all bring diverse and substantial experience working in both research and practice contexts. Panelists will speak to lessons from experiences such as research co‐design, researcher‐in‐residence programs, mentorship, and community‐based research. Attendees will have opportunities to discuss strategies for enhancing the impact of their own research on practice.
