Abstract

The pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy (DN) remains obscure. Recent studies show that the pathogenesis of DN involves in inflammatory mechanisms ,reduction of bradykinin, injury of podocytes and microRNA. Because of the complex pathogenesis of DN,there is no specific therapy. Besides the controlling of dietary protein intake and blood glucose, renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system blocker, statins, spironolactone, mycophenolate mofetil also show some protective effects of kidney. Key words: Diabetic nephropathy; Inflammation; Podocyte; Renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system
