Abstract

As a typical automatic handling tool in intelligent workshop, mobile robot plays an increasingly important role in intelligent production, and its path planning is the key to affect the material handling time and cost of intelligent workshop. Based on the analysis of the whole handling process of the workshop mobile robot, this paper finds that the driving distance and turning times are the main factors affecting the handling time. According to the walking distance and turning times of the mobile robot, the path planning model of the mobile robot with the shortest walking distance and the least turning times as the target is established. The ant colony algorithm is used to solve the model and the simulation results are verified. The results show that the ant colony algorithm can effectively complete the path planning of intelligent workshop mobile robot.
