Abstract
A diode-pumped, passively Q-switched, intracavity frequency-doubled green laser is realised using a GaAs saturable absorber. Two pieces of GaAs wafers are employed in the experiment. In using a GaAs wafer and an incident pump power of , the maximum output power of the passively -switched green laser is at a pulse repetition rate of and a pulse duration of . When use is made of a GaAs wafer, the minimum pulse duration is at a repetition rate of , pulse energy of and peak power of .
