Abstract
We experimentally demonstrate a passively Q-switched fiber laser that generates higher-order modes pulse beam based on HfSe2 saturable absorber and spatial light modulator. Due to the large modulation depth of the HfSe2 film, a Q-switched pulse with wide repetition rate can be realized based on the saturable absorption effects. Further investigation shows various higher-order Laguerre-Gaussian modes can be achieved by launching the Q-switched fundamental mode pulse onto spatial light modulator. Our studies provide a simple way to obtain a stable Q-switched fiber laser with higher-order modes pulse beam.
