Abstract
The impact of high voltage overhead transmission and distribution lines on the environment represents a hot topic in the context of transport and distribution of electrical energy. People exposed to magnetic field may lead to health problem. This paper presents a concept of conductor passive loop mitigation as a good solution economically and technically to reduce the AC overhead line magnetic field. This method is applied to the flat distribution line configuration is used medium voltage system. The effect of passive loop conductor on the reduction of magnetic field intensity is further investigated. Numerical results of the magnetic field mitigation and further discussions are provided.
