Abstract

The positive- and negative-parity states of $^{89}\mathrm{Y}$, $^{87}\mathrm{Sr}$, and $^{89}\mathrm{Sr}$ are analyzed with the particle-core coupling model which, in the present extension, involves the coupling of a particle (hole) to six core states in $^{88}\mathrm{Sr}$. The calculated energy-level sequences, spectroscopic factors, and the few available electromagnetic properties compare favorably with experiment.NUCLEAR STRUCTURE $^{89}\mathrm{Y}$, $^{87}\mathrm{Sr}$, and $^{89}\mathrm{Sr}$: calculated levels, $J$, $\ensuremath{\pi}$, $S$, $B(E2)$, $q$, and $\ensuremath{\mu}$. Particle-core coupling model.
