Abstract
In terms of the effective two-body interaction, a general understanding of the limit of neutron stability of exotic nuclear systems has been attempted. The maximal $\frac{N}{Z}$ ratio has been calculated for various Skyrme interactions and compared with the predictions of Garvey and Kelson.NUCLEAR STRUCTURE Neutron stability; exotic nuclei; Skyrme interaction.
