Abstract
We outline a new formalism which aims to unify different approaches to particle production in high energy collisions. The most common approach is that of collinear factorization valid at high pt while the so-called kt factorization is used for low pt particle production. The proposed formalism includes both low and high x gluon degrees of freedom in the hadron/nucleus wave function and thus can be applied to particle production in both low and high pt kinematic regions.
