Abstract

Abstract Investigations on the pulse shapes obtained from a small Ge(Li) detector are presented. A 1 cm 3 planar Ge(Li) detector with a 0.13 mm beryllium window and a 20 nm gold front contact is used. It is demonstrated that electron and γ-ray interactions give rise to two distinct distributions of the risetimes.
