Abstract
In this report a survey is given concerning the maximum use of photogrammetry in all scales of studies related to the organization of space. The author emphasizes the contribution of photogrammetry in town planning and physical planning. Architects and planners are greatly interested in photogrammetric procedures for its remarkable results reported from many successful applications of photogrammetry in many countries. Photogrammetry could be the standard procedure in preparing basic maps which will be used for planning at a regional and national level. Photogrammetry can contribute to the landscape analysis, in the protection and preservation of historical urban centers and in town planning, to successful application in close cooperation of architects, planners and photogrammetrists. Particularly in Greece, photogrammetry must become an unvaluable tool in studying, inventorizing, protecting and preserving historical monuments and sites.
