Abstract

The article describes the results of the study aimed at analyzing the content of the internet information which in parents’ eyes is harmful for their children's health and development. The survey embraced 230 parents of 0-6s, 6-12s, 12-16s, and 6-18s. Among the notions associated with dangerous online information there is content involving sex, violence and cruelty, inability to control their child's access to the internet, the internet advertising and information products provoking negative emotions. The authors also revealed differences in parents’ notions of what is dangerous in the internet information, and this differentiation depends on children's age.
