Abstract

This study proposes the analytical method for the influences of parasitic capacitance and shaft voltage for the direct-oil system in traction motors. First, the parasitic capacitances are calculated according to the dielectric constant of insulating materials, including the cooling oil. Then, the calcu1ated parasitic capacitances are used to construct an equivalent circuit considering the shaft voltage path of the traction motor. Finally, this study analyzes the parasitic capacitance and shaft voltage characteristics according to the cooling oil level using the proposed analytical method. It will be verified through finite element analysis and experiment.
