Abstract

This research paper presents a parametric optimization of a sewage wastewater treatment process using batch electro-oxidation setup. The effects of various operating parameters such as current, pH, and electrolysis time on the COD removal efficiency of the treatment process and energy required for treatment were evaluated. It demonstrates the potential of electro-chemical oxidation as an effective method for treating sewage wastewater through Ti/RuO2 electrodes, and provides valuable insights for the optimization of the process. The study also highlights the importance of considering the interplay between different parameters in the optimization process. The study found that the electro-oxidation technology can enhance the quality of the treated sewage wastewater.
