Abstract
The superior properties of the strenx steel 700 have improved by cryogenic treatment. The applications of strenx steel have been increased in manufacturing industries. In this experimental investigation is reported about the parametric effect and Taguchi optimization of cryogenic treatment of Strenx steel 700 grade. The different input constraints of the cryogenic process such as cooling rate, tempering temperature and time are considered. The wear rate of the strenx steel is measured through the changing the level of the cryogenic input constraints. The major influential factor is determined through variance analysis. The tensile strength of the strenx steel 700 was enhanced through cryogenic treatment process. The cooling rate was provided the largest effect on tensile strength (90.42%) followed by soaking time (8.02%) and flow rate (0.98%). The correlation of input and output constraints were analyzed through contour plot, Pareto and pie chart to analysis the cryogenic treatment of strenx steel.
